THE CURRENT OWNER(A FRIEND OF MINE) IS THE SECOND OWNER AND HAS OWNED SINCE 1999. THERE WAS ONLY 463 TRANS AM RAMAIR(WS6) CONVERTIBLES MADE IN 1997. ALSO THERE WAS 25 RAM-AIR CONVERTIBLES USED IN THE PARADE LAPS IN THE SPRING 1997 TALLADEGA WINSTON CUPS RACE AND THIS POSSIBLE WAS ONE OF THOSE USED,AS THE OTHER 4 I HAVE FOUND LISTED WERE ALL THE SAME COLOR AND SAME OPTIONED VEHICLES AND THIS WAS BUILT LESS THAN ONE WEEK LATER THAN ONE I FOUND LISTED. I HAVE TRIED TO CONTACT THE TALLEDEGA SPEEDWAY BUT HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM THEM.
AS YOU CAN SEE SHE IS IN FAIR CONDITION WITH 185,000 MILES. THE LT1 ENGINE RUNS GOOD CONSIDERING IT HAS THE ORIGINAL SPARKPLUGS AND WIRES. THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFTS GOOD AND THE FLUID IS BROWN. THE DRIVESHAT IS GOOD SHAPE. THE REAR END HAS LEAK AROUND THE TUBE AND COVER GASKET. THE BRAKE PADS ARE 40% AT BEST AND ROTORS ARE RUSTY AND BURNT.THE TIRES ARE IN GOOD SHAPE WITH NO ROTTING AND 40-50% TREAD.THE WHEELS ARE DIRTY WITH BRAKE DUST(ESPECIALLY THE FRONT) AND ARE STRAIGHT AND CHROME IS IN GOOD SHAPE. THE EXHAUST IS MISSING FROM THE CONVERTERS BACK AS IT WAS TAKEN OFF TO DROP THE FUEL TANK, AS THE FUL PUMP IS BAD(WILL RUN FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES BEFORE THE PUMP CUTS OUT). THE MUFFLER WAS ROTTED SO BADLY IT WAS ONLY HANGING FROM THE TAILPIPE HANGERS. I STILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL EXHAUST TIPS AND HANGERS AND SHIELDS.
THE BODY HAS RUST ON THE UNDER SIDE AND ON WHEELWELLS.THE BACK IS THE WORST BUT IT HAS NOT GONE THRU. THE HOOD HAS THE CLEAR COATING ALMOST ALL PEALED OFF.THE DRIVERS DOR DROPS WHEN OPENING AS THE LOWER HINGE IS WORE OUT. THE WINDOW MOTORS, SWITCHES AND BEZELS HAVE BEEN REPLACED. THE DRIVER REGULATOR IS WORE OUT AND JUMPS WHEN GOING UP. THE PASSENGER QUARTER PANEL IS DENTED IN. THE CONVERTIBLE TOP IS ROUGH AND THE WINDOW LEAKS WHEN IT RAINS. THE PLUGS ARE OU!T THE TRUNK SO IT WILL DRAIN OUT AS IT WAS HOLDING WATER UP TO THE BOTTOM OF THE CD CHANGER. THE CD CHANGER IS JUNK. THE PUMP AND MOTOR FOR THE TOP ARE STILL GOOD SHAPE AND WORKING.
THE INTERIOR IS DIRTY AND BACKSEATS HAVE MOLD SPOTS ON THEM AS IT HAD STUFF ON THEM. THE DRIVERS SEAT IS RIPPED UP BADLY. THE PASSENGER SEAT IS ALRIGHT BUT DIRTY. THE SEAT BLADDERS STILL WORK ON BOTH OF THEM THE CARPET IS WORE THREW ON THE DRIVERS FRONT FLOOR. THE DOOR PANELS ARE DIRTY AND FAIR SHAPE AS WELL. ALL THE OPTIONS INSIDE ARE IN WORKING ORDER. THEWINDSHIELD AND WINDWSARE IN GOOD SHAPE.
I TRIED TO LIST EVERYTHING IN DETAIL AS ACCURATELY AS POSSIBLE. THIS IS A RARE CAR AND HOPEFULLY DESERVES A SECOND CHANCE ATBEING FIXED UP AND KEEPING THAT PONTIAC HERTIAGE ALIVE AS THEY ARE NO LONGER BEING MADE, IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK.... THE CAR IS FOR SALE LOCALLY AND I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION EARLY IF HE SELLS IT.. THE VEHICLE WILL HAVE TO BE PICKED UP WITHIN 2 WEEKS AND IS CURRENTLYSTORED IN A GARAGE.PAYMENT IS REQUIRED WITHIN 24 HOURS AFTER AUCTION ENDS..THANKS YOU .
