Hot Springs, SD This 1997 Transam has a new top installed6 months ago. I had the hood airbrushed during the 2010 STURGIS BIKE RALLEY. This car runs awesome. It is fast. It has the LT1 engine with RAM AIR. The transmission was gone thru by a professional on Oct. 7th, 2010, a few gears and forks were replaced. A new heater core was installed 6 months ago and the head was redone and new head gasket also replaced. The only mechanical issues are: the power steering is leaking, the check engine light is on - says catalytic converter on test - easy fix, and low oil censor light comes on - mechanic saysthe censor needs replaced.Car has power windows - new motor in driver's window, power locks, CD, driver's power seat, leather, Air condition - just completely gone thru and new parts, power roof - works perfect. The back seat is coming apart at the top - When top is down the car has plastic covers that go over that part. New seat covers - both seats have little rips in them from use. The dash also has a crack on passenger side about 3" long- have a dash cover in car. The tires are still really good - new in 2009. I am a dealer but this is my personnal car that I love and drive daily. I wasn't a dealer when I purchased it. The car has fresh paint on entire front end and looks HOT!!! There are about 121,100 miles but the mileage light just quit working, needs bulb. If you like Firebirds you will really like this car!!! You will NOT be dissappointed.
