This car has been my baby since I purchased her. I am not the original owner, and the previous owner also took great care of her. This car has never seen winter, never seen salt, and while I have owned her never seen rain. She has been properly stored in the winter and only driven on the most perfect of days (thus only 8600 miles).
The car is rare, Chevrolet only build 3,369 total 35th Anniversary Limited Edition (LE) super sports. This car was only offered in 2002 as a dedication to the Camaro's inception in 1967. The build order for this car is Super Sport # 2548 and LE # 929. The car is equipped with a six speed manual T-56 transmission (6 forward gears, 1 reverse) and has an after market shifter (Pro 5.0) for more precise and solid shifts. This vehicle being a 2002 model it came stock with a Z06 clutch and has the LS6 block (these don't offer any gains in performance, only peace of mind).
I further modified her with the Turbo Technology Inc street turbo kit (http://www.turbotechnologyinc.com/site/?page_id=113). This kit cost about $6,000 new and has the larger turbocharger (T76). The vehicle was professional tuned by Jim at Speed Inc in Schaumburg, Illinois (http://www.ls1speed.com/). It made 444 rwhp and 475 rwtq on Speed Inc's dyno jet at 6 psi and a very conservative (rich) tune. With the larger turbo the car is very easy to drive on the street. It drives just like stock until it gets into boost. This car could easily be daily driven. The TTi kit is unique in that it was designed to keep all the vehicles accessories. The car still has power steering and heat, and has the option for the stock air conditioning. I decided to take the A/C system out of the car, but if the buyer is interested I can include it (uninstalled). I kept all the stock parts which can be sold with the car for a negotiable price. The vehicle is equipped with the stock SS exhaust but I put a manual cut out in the I-pipe before it goes over the axle. The car is whisper quiet with the cut out closed (capped) and even when the cut out is open (uncapped) the car isn't shockingly loud. This is due to the turbo being exhaust driven, thus it muffles a lot of the noise. In order to support the higher horsepower I installed a Walbro 255L in-tank fuel pump and 48lb/h injectors.
Appearance wise, I upgraded the interior trim of the car with authentic and real carbon fiber. This was purchased from Ls1Tech legend Steve1969 and was on his award winning 2000 Camaro SS. This was custom made and truly is a rare kit. Exterior, I replaced the cars nose with a black billet grille. Behind the grille I blacked out plastic. This area would normally be covered by (in my opinion) a fairly ugly plastic "Camaro" fiasca. The stripes, rims, badges, and interior are all stock for a 35th LE car. It consists of special solid gray into checkered stripes that travel from the nose to the rear spoiler. The vehicle has several 35th LE badges as well as special black and gray machine faced rims. The interior is two toned black and gray with special 35th LE embroidery in the head rests.
