Lemont, IL, United States Reliable 116,xxx mile Daily Driver with all the usual LS1 Bolt-Ons such as Underdrive Pulley, Fast 90mm Intake, 90mm TB, Patriot LS6 Heads, mild 224 CAM, Dynatech Supermaxx header system with CATS and 4.11 gears. All that plus tires, clutch, subframe connectors, BMR Springs (lowered about and inch or so in front and 2 rear), panhard, rear control arms, bilstein shocks, slotted roters and pads added after I purchased and drove this car from Texas to Illinois in April of 2004 with 89,xxx miles. This is a real 2000 SS #7873 with 2002 Anniversary Rims and Clear Coated Stripes added by a previous owner to make it a tad unique. While high in mileage, Carfax shows 70k miles were logged within its first 2 years of ownership, this along with my 75 mile a day job commute racked up a majority of the miles on the highway. Its been garaged daily and stored during winter while under my eyes and the undercarriage will show proof of this. Exterior and interior in OK condition, not the greatest clear coat from the stripe job or drivers seat but all in all a nice opportunity for someone who is not a perfectionist looking for a quick, reliable, loud, badass car to drive anywhere. I would love to have taken this car on a road course or drag track but that is just not the case nor has it been on a dyno but the MODS should put it in the area of 400hp to the wheels. Its been base tuned for the mods by a local speed shop and passed Illinois emissions. Monsoon Single CD that works but could use new speakers, the Low Oil level light is lit but level is correct, I have not bothered to fix this as I was not planning to sell this car but Im currently knee deep in a 69 Camaro. |
