Mentor, Ohio, United States This is 1 of 473 Formulas made in 1997. It has been stored for the past two+ years. It was a daily driver until then. I will attempt to describe in detail what this car needs. I bought it from my brother last fall in Louisville, Ky and trailered it to Cleveland, Oh. It was going to be a car for our 16 year old son. 4.50/ gallon super unleaded and high insurance forces sale. The headlights need motors, the power windows need motors. These are typical for these F-Boby cars. There is a loud squeeking noise either from the serpentine belt or the power steering pump. There is a "spider web" on the front bumper cover where it comes to a point. Probably from a bump from another car in a parking lot. Was there when we got it. Power antenna does not work. Small transmission fluid leak. Car has a new battery and all new Sumotomo tires P275/40ZR17. We did not know the car was rare when we bought it. The car is not perfect, but the things it needs are minor for somebody that has the time to fix them. This car "blue books" for $5800.00 for fair condition. This car is in fair condition. I would suggest trailering it home as I did because it has been sitting for over two years. You can see a scratch in picture #4 at the bottom of passenger door. About 6 inches long. The clear coat is coming off in a few spots around the car. You can't see it in the pictures. |
