Car Notes |
2007.10.08 Ebay
FT. WAYNE, IN, United States
You are bidding on a 1997 Pontiac Trans Am WS6. This car does need some work, however is a great car for a restoration project, or just to fix and drive. This car has 125000 miles on it, however the previous owner had the engine rebuilt at 75000 miles, and the tranny rebuilt and a shift kit installed at 85000 miles. This car seems to run and drive great. This is a no reserve auction so bid to win!!
I bought this car a short time ago with the intent to fix it and sell it for a profit. Since that time I have gotten into a financial crunch, and I need the money now so I am selling as is with hopes to get my money back out of it.
Here is a list of upgrades, and great points of the car
* T-Tops (dont leak in car wash, never drove in rain)
* Alpine detatchable face CD Player
* Rockford Fosgate Amp
* Sony Xplod subwoofers
* Shift kit in tranny (shifts good and hard!!)
* Flowmaster cat-back exhaust
* Ram Air
* Fuzion Tires
* Dark Window Tint.
This is a list of things I know of that need fixed on this car.
* Passenger side headlight assembly
* Front bumper cover (May be repairable)
* Slight hood repair
* Oil leak ( previous owner thinks it was the rear main, I think it may be as simple as a valve cover gasket)
* Passenger side window, and power lock switches dont work.
* Passenger window motor seams weak(works but very slowly)
* Turnsignal/ Bright switch is broken on steering column(Signals work, Brights do not)
* Interior panels painted red (You may or may not want to change this?)
* Drivers seat shows some wear on the seat.
* Blows some black smoke when first started, or reving up in neutral (I asked my brother who is a certified mechanic, He thinks that it may be just running rich, due to the computer not being re-programmed for the new aftermarket exhaust.
* Check engine light came on once, for the egr valve, a vaccum line came off. We plugged it back in, cleared the codes, and it has not came back on.
I have driven this car probably about 300 miles or so since I bought it. I drove it home about 60 miles when purchased with no problems to speak of. I havent driven it much because I was unsure of what I was going to do with it. I havent had any issues other than the obvious oil leak, but it hasnt lost more than a quart in the last 2 months.
Buyer will be responsible for vehicle pick up or delivery. I will be cooperative with any serious buyers who need a little time to arrange pick-up. This car could probably be driven home, but as I said I have not driven it much so I will not be responsible if something does go wrong.
There will be a non refundable deposit of $500.00 due within 2 days of auction end(immediately with buy it now). The rest of the money must be received within 7 days of auction end. I will accept cash in hand, or a check. However I will not release the car untill funds have cleared. Anyone is welcome to come look at the car, however it is not plated or registered, so test drives will be limited to my neighborhood. This is a no reserve auction so if you bid, you may win! Please dont bid if you dont have the funds to pay.
I checked the Kelley blue book value of this car, and it is well above the buy it now price in fair condition. I would rate this car as fair to good condition. All in all this is a awesome car that will only go up in value since GM decided to stop production. |
