Car Notes
Highlights

THIS... is a 1996 Pontiac Firebird Formula, finished in Bright Silver Metallic with a Graphite interior.

This Firebird is equipped with the desirable 6-speed manual transmission, it features the sought-after "WS6" performance package, and its odometer displays about 58,600 miles.
The attached Carfax history report starts in 1997 and shows this Firebird was sold new in Washington. It remained registered there until it moved to Arizona earlier in 2021.
The window sticker pictured in the gallery notes this Firebird cost $28,667 new (about $49,900 in 2021), including a $1,000 dealer mark-up. It's equipped with the "WS6" Ram Air Performance and Handling Package, the 1SC Option Group, removable roof panels, a CD player, and a graphic equalizer, among other features.
Red paint on the brake calipers and an aftermarket shift knob are the only modifications reported by the seller. The factory shift knob is included in the sale.
Pontiac released the fourth and final generation of the Firebird for the 1993 model year. Related to the Chevrolet Camaro, the "Screaming Chicken" received a much sleeker-looking exterior design, a revised suspension system, and a host of mechanical improvements. 1994 brought a convertible model, and production ended in 2002.
Pontiac brought the "WS6" performance package back to the Firebird range for 1996 to fend off Ford's SVT-tuned Mustang. The bundle included performance-oriented upgrades like a specific suspension system, a ram air induction system, and dual oval exhaust outlets.
Power comes from a 5.7-liter "LT1" V8, rated at 305 horsepower and 335 lb-ft of torque. It spins the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
